Interactivity and Connectivity in XR for Design, Art and Entertainment @ HCII 2024

Design Promositon supported a workshop session at the HCI International Conference, on “Interactivity and Connectivity in XR for Design, Art and Entertainment”.

“We are stepping into a world where reality seamlessly merges with imagination in Extended Reality (XR). XR can create experiences that transport us into new dimensions and captivate all of our senses with spatial perceptions, natural interactions, and immersive environments. In the art and design field, how can we design and create the environments and experiences to connect things and make them complementary for each other using XR? This session provides an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to present recent progress in the area above including new directions and novel applications associated through the view of user experience. This session aims to foster the dissemination of high quality, original research on new experiences, services and systems. This session is also an activity of IFIP TC14.7 Art and Entertainment, supported by the Foundation for Design Promotion in Europe and China (Stichting voor Design Promotion in Europa en China) .”

This session attracted 12 submissions presented at the online conference.
